Back in 1961, President Dwight D. Eisenhower gave his farewell address, in which he warned us all of an impending "military-industrial complex" that would adversely shape world policy. Today, are we witnessing its fruition. According to the article "Bush tries to rally Iran foes" (Page 1, Monday) President Bush urged Middle Eastern countries "to unite against Iran and al Qaeda" and all those bad guys and announced a $20 billion sale of advanced weaponry to Saudi Arabia.
