Horse owners are increasingly making animals pay their own way as more and more foreign tourists seek horses for the hunt
Roger O'Donnell, from the Scarteen, has been mounting visitors on his hirelings since the '70s. His hireling trade runs side-by-side with dealing horses, running an equestrian centre and a hunter trial course.
"We get quite a few Americans, and a lot of English visitors," he explains, "as well as a few German and Dutch people."
Just last week, of the nine visitors he had provided horses for, seven were from the UK and the remainder travelled from the United States.
