A COMPOSTING toilet has been given the go-ahead to make Calderdale allotments even greener.
Allotment holders at Milner Royd in Sowerby Bridge are delighted the proposal has been accepted by Calderdale Council.
They will begin work on the toilet, which recycles all human waste so it can be put back on the soil, at the end of the month.
Sheila Cooper, secretary of Milner Royd allotments, said: "Everybody is overjoyed about the result."
