BURGLARS sneaked into a house in Hirstead Road, Scarborough, and stole a handbag and its contents.
The thieves entered the semi-detached house through an unlocked rear door and snatched the bag which had been left on a work surface near the door.
The black leather Avalon handbag with black stitching had two straps and contained a black leather purse with an imprint of a reptile on the inside flap.
Inside there was a large amount of money in notes and coins, a black and grey Sony Ericsson mobile phone, Yorkshire Bank bank cards, a Sky credit card, store cards and a gym membership card.
