HOUSTON, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooper Cameron Corporation has filed an application to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). It is expected that the company's stock will begin trading on the NYSE on August 1, 1995 under the symbol RON.

Cooper Cameron has 25 million shares of common stock outstanding, and has traded in the Nasdaq National Market System under the symbol CRON since July 5, 1995. Cooper Cameron is comprised of the former Petroleum and Industrial Equipment businesses of Cooper Industries, Inc. (NYSE: CBE) and was created through an exchange offer with Cooper shareholders.
