MONTREAL, Quebec--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 27, 1995--Quebecor Printing Inc. reports consolidated revenues of US $724.6 million for the second quarter of 1995, compared with US $455.9 million in the corresponding 1994 period, an increase of 58.9 percent. Net income rose to US $25.1 million, or US $0.25 per share, from US $20.6 million, or US $0.21 per share, an increase of 21.8 percent.
The large increase in revenues was due mainly to recently acquired printing plants in Canada, the United States and Europe, and also reflects higher paper prices. Operating income totaled US $60.8 million in the second quarter, 54.7 percent higher than in the corresponding 1994 period. ...
