WESTBORO - The Grafton/Valley Tech hockey team defeated the Northbridge High Rams, 3-1, last night at the North Star Youth Forum, in Westboro.
Grafton improved to 8-1-1. Northbridge fell to 3-6-1. Both teams resume play on the road Saturday, with the Indians traveling to take on Auburn while Northbridge visits Fitchburg at the Wallace Civic Center.
Using steady stick work and solid play behind defensemen and co-captains Shaun Mitchell and Tim Thiesing, the Indians made Rams' rebound shots hard to come by.
