DEATHS and injuries have dropped dramatically on roads where speed cameras have been installed.

The Northumbria Safety Camera Partnership reports there has been a 76% drop in fatalities across the force, along with a 36% decrease in injuries.

And bosses say survey results published by the partnership show that support for speed cameras is at an alltime high.
