PRINCETON - Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary is looking for help in a new volunteer program that meets the third Saturday of each month at the Massachusetts Audubon Society facility at 113 Goodnow Road.
The next session is from 9:30 a.m. to noon tomorrow.
Working at the sanctuary is "like having a huge backyard," said Deborah D. Cary, director of central sanctuaries for Massachusetts Audubon Society.
That backyard is 1,200 acres, to be exact, and volunteers are needed to help with indoor and outdoor tasks such as snow removal, trail maintenance, welcoming guests, monitoring wildlife, fixing up buildings, ...
