CLINTON - It's all connected: a potential deal between Clinton and Nestle Waters of North America to sell the company water from the town-owned Wekepeke Reservoir in Sterling, a pending conservation restriction on the Wekepeke Reservoir that voters agreed to craft with the state in 2004, a $353,600 state Self-Help Grant the town has been approved for that would go toward the purchase of the $2.7 million Rauscher property and the controversial boat launch at South Meadow Pond (see a related story, page 6).
Wednesday night the Board of Selectmen approved asking the state to remove the Self-Help Grant from the equation by a vote of 3-1. ...
