"VetFran" is increasingly popping up to remind those within franchising industry circles and beyond that the two terms "veterans" and "franchising" can combine as one sure way to create small-business ownership opportunities for former military veterans.
In 2007, such newspapers as USA Today, the Seattle Times and the Austin Business Journal have helped to focus attention on a voluntary program that enables former program military personnel in the transition to civilian life by becoming franchise small-business owners.
