In November 1985, John Lacewell and Ray Alexander recognizing a growing need for industrial fiberglass products, formed Advance Fiberglass, Inc.
"Advance" initially manufactured a variety of custom fiberglass pipe fittings and fiberglass duct for chemical plants and paper mills. Expansion into sales of other manufacturing items followed. Advance was chosen to distribute Smith Fiberglass[R] pipe and fittings for the state of Arkansas.
In 1986 they began manufacturing a line of fiberglass door and frame systems for use in pulp and paper mills. This product line, named FIB-R-DOR[R] has grown rapidly since its inception.
