A MAN faces legal action from the city council after a "mix up" with his insurance company led to them failing to pay more than [pounds sterling]3,700 in damages.
Richard Speller was driving his Jaguar SJX along the parkway, near Hampton, in Peterborough, in November 2005, when he hit black ice and crashed into the southbound barrier.
The 33-year-old immediately contacted his insurance company, Jaguar Insurance, and in December 2005, Mr Speller received a confirmation letter to say that his claim was successful, the money had been paid and the matter was resolved.
