Best Co. has affirmed the financial strength rating (FSR) of A+ (Superior) and issuer credit rating (ICR) of "aa" of Principal Life Insurance Company (Principal Life) (Des Moines, IA). A.M. Best also has affirmed the ICRs of "a" of Principal Financial Services, Inc. and Principal Financial Group, Inc. (PFG) (both of Des Moines, IA) (NYSE:PFG), as well as the existing debt ratings of PFG and its subsidiaries. The outlook for all ratings is stable.
