CAFFEINE-MISCARRIAGE LINK: This study was all over the news this week: Researchers at Kaiser Permanente found that women who consumed at least two cups of coffee a day had twice the risk for miscarriage. What didn't make the news was another study published in the journal Epidemiology, also published this month, that found no link between "moderate" consumption -- maybe less than two cups -- and miscarriage.
PAY TO PLAY? While more college freshmen are heading overseas for a semester, study-abroad programs are under scrutiny for possible kickback deals. Universities including Harvard, Cornell and Columbia are being asked to turn over documents ...
