NEW YORK -- Sales of hair care products were positive to mixed during the course of 2007, according to Information Resources Inc. (IRI).
Dollar sales of hair coloring products were fiat to slightly off, while conditioner, hair spray and hairstyling items showed modest gains, notes IRI.
Overall, drug stores did a bit better in the category than their mass market competitors. And one way chain drug retailers have kept ahead of the pack is by breaking down the barrier between class and mass.
