"A BRILLIANT night," is how one music-lover described Friday's grand re-opening of the Webster Memorial Theatre, after a 22-month refurbishment costing some [pounds sterling]4 million.
The lady went on to say that it was a privilege to be in the audience for the gala concert by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
The RSNO's grand Viennese gala concert, under the baton of Assistant Conductor David Danzmayr, featured Mozart's Marriage of Figaro overture and Schubert's Symphony No 5 alongside favourite marches, waltzes and polkas from the Strauss family.
