MANCHESTER, N.H. - They have become the gang that shoots too straight, that's what has happened to the Worcester Sharks in the last few weeks. They've cut down on their goals-against, and make almost every game close, but just can't find a way to score more than three goals a game.
Or, like last night, even one goal.
The Sharks were blanked by the Manchester Monarchs, 2-0, in a defeat that had some serious playoff implications. The loss dropped Worcester four points behind the fifth-place Monarchs in the Atlantic Division and the game was one of the five the Sharks had in hand with fourth-place Springfield.
