LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles County's Early Care and Education industry directly employs more than 65,000 people and generates more than $1.9 billion annually for the local economy, according to a study released Jan. 14 by the Los Angeles County Child Care Planning Committee, the City of Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board, and Los Angeles Universal Preschool.
