AN Army regiment with close links to Morley could have its presence felt in the town this summer after an absence of a number of years.
There has been a traditional link with the Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire - now part of the Yorkshire Regiment - stretching back several decades but they have not been invited to Morley for some time.
Morley Town Council plan to rectify that this year and one possible idea that has been mooted is a rugby match between regiment and Morley teams.
That was the idea of Coun Terry Grayshon (MBI, Morley North) and it's one that has been warmly received by the Army and Morley Rugby Club.
