Leverkusen, Germany -- Bayer MaterialScience is buying the polyurethanes business of Dr D.A. Dells AG in Athens, Greece.
The business will be integrated into BMS' systems house group as BaySystems Hellas.
No financial details of the deal, expected to close at the beginning of next year, were released.
BMS has worked with Dr Dells for many years, and said the Greek company supplies small and medium enterprises in countries such as Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Cyprus.
Bayer claims that it will become the first major PU manufacturer to establish its own systems house in these countries.
