The European Commission wants to launch a "new partnership to improve the anticipation and management of change" in the European automobile industry. Announced on the occasion of a high level forum, in the presence of 300 representatives from the sector, on 17 and 18 October in Brussels, this move aims to bring together the social partners in order to monitor the evolution of the automobile industry and encourage the exchange of know-how in the "socially responsible management of restructuring".
