SANTIAGO, Chile -- Fitch Ratings has affirmed the foreign and local currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of Empresas Copec S.A. at 'BBB+.' The Rating Outlook remains Stable. Empresas Copec is one of the largest private-sector companies in Chile with investments in forestry, fuel distribution, fishing and energy. On a consolidated basis, for the 12 months ended Sept. 30, 2007, Empresas Copec generated US$1,784 billion of EBITDA on US$10,961 billion consolidated sales.
