THIS top-of-the-table clash in Division 7NW produced an amazing game of flowing hockey from both sides which resulted in a nine-goal thriller.
March came flying out of the blocks to put Bourne on the back foot and the visitors had numerous chances to open the scoring, but found home keeper Will Anderson in great form as Bourne survived five one-on-ones.
It took some time for the team to settle as Bourne had three regulars promoted to the third team, but slowly the game became much more even with John Oakley gaining control of the middle of the pitch and March preferring to play on the counter-attack.
