THE ANGUS Open Award Unit of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award is searching for someone to provide a lorry or van to carry materials and toys to Romania for a project they are undertaking there.
The group is currently organising a trip to Baia Mare, Transylvania, in June to work with underprivileged Romany children, as part of their residential section for their Gold Award.
Through an organisation called 'Capstone', the group has been able to make contacts out in Baia Mare. After their own initial fund-raising, they obtained further support from the Scottish Executive, through 'Youthlink Scotland' which is also encouraging young people to achieve their ...
