A shortlist of names for roads and squares in the Cattle Market development has been drawn up.
A working party will next week recommend what the two streets and two squares in the redevelopment should be called.
It follows a competition in which Bury Free Press readers were invited to suggest names.
All of the final choices have historical connections to Bury St Edmunds.
One option is for Auction, Auctioneer or Gavel - with the council keen to recognise the work of Lacy Scott, Simpsons and Vincents without giving prominence to one over another.
Charter, another suggestion, is recognition of the Magna Carta charter, the Market ...
