There was short term revival in the stock market when General Index of share prices moved upward to 190.62 on June 15. Then came a steep fall and the index stood at 186.85 on June 19. The aggregate market capitalization stood at Rs. 293.326 billion showing a decline of Rs. 5.961 billion. Turnover of shares during the month of June stood at 254.111 million as compared to 232.575 million shares in the preceding month.
