Burkle controls grocery chain with 367 locations
Ronald Burkle is hungry for supermarkets.
Not content to control merely a five-chain nationwide supermarket empire with approximately $9 billion in annual revenues, Burkle, who recently engineered the biggest supermarket deal in L.A. County history, is looking for more grocery chains to acquire in other regions.
Burkle, 42, is managing partner and majority owner of Century City-based Yucaipa Cos., which, in turn, is the controlling stakeholder of Ralphs Grocery Co.
