In recent surveys and certainly at the Drupa '95 show, computer-to-plate (CTP) technology was one of the major interests of vendors and almost all commercial printers.
The CTP market in one section of the spectrum is targeted at those printers concerned with eight-, 16-, and 32-page layout and using metal plates that are imaged using platesetters and/or imagesetters for conventional press production. Some call this the high-end quality market.
