INTRODUCTION

Polymers have widespread applications in industry, and continue to gain increasing importance as technology advances because of their unique characteristics including low density and advantageous electrical and mechanical properties. However, some adverse effects limit their practical applications. In particular, low scratch and wear resistance and also environmental degradation have hindered many important applications.
