REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Oracle Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCL) today announced that for the first quarter of fiscal 1996 ended August 31, 1995, revenues increased 39 percent to a record $772 million from $556 million in the same period last year. Without the one-time $51 million acquisition charge for the IRI transaction, which closed in late July, net income would have been $87 million, or $0.20 per share, compared to net income of $61 million, or $0.14 per share, in the first quarter of 1995. Including the charge, net income was $54 million for the period, or $0.12 per share.
