With the Iowa and Nevada caucuses and New Hampshire and Michigan primaries behind them, the Democratic presidential frontrunners focus on the South Carolina primary (Jan. 26), and the battle for the state's 54 delegates. South Carolina polls have Barack Obama leading the pack by as much as 20 percentage points. According to a poll conducted by the Rasmussen Reports in early January, 42 percent of voters favor Obama, compared to 30 percent who support Hillary Clinton and 14 percent who support John Edwards, who was born in the state.
