CONTINUING its strategy to consolidate and grow in the animal breeding business, Hendrix Genetics B.V. announced last week a memorandum of understanding with Groupe Glon in France to acquire Groupe Glon's swine genetics division, France Hybrides.
The acquisition needs to clear regulatory review and shareholder approval but should be completed in the first half of this year, according to the announcement. Terms were not disclosed.
France Hybrides will be integrated into Hypor, the swine breeding division of Hendrix, the announcement said.
