It is now more difficult for undesirable aliens, including foreign terrorists and criminals, to get into the country.

Immigration Commissioner Marcelino C. Libanan said yesterday that this is because his bureau has already put in place a modernized, efficient, and automated border control system.

Libanan said the computerized linkup of Bureau of Immigration (BI) operations in major ports and sub-ports nationwide has made it easier for the agency to monitor and regulate the entry of foreigners into the country.
