Price: $20-$40
Grade: B-
Don't prejudge STIX by its gimmickry and glitz. This new Back Bay satay bistro - from the owners of 33 Restaurant & Lounge next door - has more going for it than its silly capitalized name and limiting concept initially suggest.
The primary selling point of STIX is its flavor-infused wooden skewers, used to grill assorted meats, fish and poultry. The premanufactured skewers are steeped in all-natural oils and herbal extracts. Those oils permeate whatever's being grilled from the inside out.
