CAMBRIDGE, England, and NEW YORK, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Cantab Pharmaceuticals plc (Nasdaq: CNTBY) and Pfizer, Inc., (NYSE: PFE) a world leader in animal healthcare, today announced that the companies have formed a development alliance for animal health applications of Cantab's DISC-VIRUS(TM) vaccine technology.
The alliance is potentially worth more than $10 million in license fees, milestone payments, and an equity investment. In addition, Cantab estimates that it could receive another $35 million in royalty payments from Pfizer over the period of the agreement, with product sales starting in 1998/9, pending product regulatory approval.
