ON THE surface, they could not be more different. One is bimonthly, glossy and full of great photographs; the other is weekly, grey and almost (literally) artless. One is fat with advertisements--175 p Chanel, Armani and Remy Martin; the other has full pages bought by the likes of the Federalist Society. One is edited by the fetching son of a Democratic president; the other, by the fairly homely children of the founders of neoconservatism. And while the cover of one features Cindy Crawford, her midriff bared, dressed as George Washington, the other sports a cartoon of Newt Gingrich, dressed as Rambo.
