The visit amounted to a cameo appearance, not that Greg Reynolds minded.
During the Rockies' three- week medical minicamp here last month, Reynolds' stay lasted several days, long enough for him to get examined by the Rockies training staff, throw a bullpen session and show that his surgically repaired shoulder was just fine.
Then it was back home to Pacifica, Calif., to continue preparing for spring training, which begins Saturday for pitchers and catchers. There was no need to stay any longer. As Reynolds wryly said, "For all the wrong reasons, I saw enough of Denver last year."
