In the Jan. 28 issue, the assassin of the late civil rights leader Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was misidentified. James Earl Ray was convicted of the 1968 shooting of Dr. King on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. Ray died in 1998 while serving a 99-year prison sentence for the King assassination.
