Article: EPA issues Final Corrective Action Consent Order to Gaston Copper Recycling Corp., Gaston, S.C.

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1995--The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in consultation with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC), announced Friday that a Final Administrative Order on Consent (Consent Order) was issued to Gaston Copper Recycling Corp. (GCRC) on Sept. 19, 1995, requiring corrective action at its facility in Gaston, S.C.

This Consent Order was reached following the issuance of a Unilateral Administrative Order to GCRC on Sept. 21, 1994, under Section 3008(h) of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), as amended. Orders under this section of RCRA can only be issued by EPA.
