SEATTLE, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Immunex Corporation (Nasdaq: IMNX) today announced preliminary data analysis of a Phase III clinical study of the investigational new drug Pixykine(TM) (PIXY321) in the setting of bone marrow transplantation.
Results showed that Pixykine was safe and raised patients' platelets and neutrophils (white blood cells) as well as Leukine(R) (sargramostim), the control drug used in the study, but statistically significant improvement over those levels was not achieved in the trial.
