Article: Inventions that matter.

Byline: Jan Gottesman

COLUMN: REFLECTIONS

Ever wish you could invent something that would fill a need and make the world a better place?

I know that Clintonian Mary Carney used to talk to me about inventions years ago. I have thought about some inventions that would make the world better.

A man in Westboro apparently saw a need and set to fill it, but I'm not sure he has focused in the right direction.

I don't know if he was smelling the sweet smell of success, but I think his idea smells of something else.

A man, who will remain nameless here, invented Whiff, designed to make human waste and gas odorless.
