ST Michael's booked a place in the MacLarnon Cup semi-final with a hard fought win over last year's beaten finalists Rathmore.
The large crowd witnessed an entertaining and exciting match played on an excellent surface in Aghagallon.The crossfield wind slightly favoured St. Michael's in the first half and after a slow start they gradually got to grips with midfield where Feidhlim ONeill was impressive and moved into a three point lead, thanks to three John McLaughlin frees. Rathmore replied with a pointed free before half back Niall Mc Cann surged forward to restore a three point lead.
