The month before Easter is usually considered to be the poorest part of the year for shore angling along the Durham coastline and it looks like 2008 will be no exception.
Very few cod over 5lb are showing and even the boat anglers fishing close inshore are finding that fish are generally around 2lb, with some pouting to add to the catches.
