Sept. 25--When it comes to hometown brand names in the Twin Ports, there may be no product more recognizable than Arco coffee.
The company has gone through a lot of changes since its start in 1916, but it's still a family operation. Donald Andresen, 32, who took over the day-to-day operations a couple of years ago, is the grandson of G.A. Andre- sen, one of the company's founders.
Arco coffee is the staple beverage in hundreds of restaurants and offices throughout the region, and the company's special blend can be found on grocery store shelves everywhere. The company's building in Superior, though, is a simple, one-story complex that employs just 12 people ...
