AN ARBROATH student was the last person to pay a toll on the Tay road bridge on Sunday night. Tolls were lifted a midnight following a decision by the Scottish Government to abolish payments on both the Tay and Forth bridges in line with their manifesto promise.
Ashley McGregor (19), Parkview Gardens, was heading for Fife to visit her boyfriend, Adam Muirhead, after having just completed a shift at Marco's fish and chip shop.
