Friday 8am - A TEN-YEAR-OLD girl has had a poem she wrote about a tree in Hubbard's Hills published in a new book.
Autumn-Blaze Green, a pupil at Lacey Gardens Junior School in Louth,wrote the Golden Tree for a national poetry competition to win [pounds sterling]1,000.
She said: "I didn't really mind whether I won or not, I just like writing poems. It's the first time I've ever entered a competition with a poem."
Louth Library promoted the competition and entrants of all ages had to write a poem about something in their town.
A woman from Stafford won the top prize but Autumn-Blaze's poem will be printed in a collection of the best ...
