- Xbox Live Looks to Be Far Ahead of Apple and Sony
After years of losing money (and calling it an investment), Microsoft's entertainment and devices operations, which is where Xbox and Zune come from, reported $524 million in income over the past six months. That compares to $423 million in losses over the same period last year. The company said the turnaround was primarily due to Xbox.
Microsoft expects continued good results over the next six months. It said it expects revenue to increase "due to increased sales of Xbox 360 consoles and related games, accessories, and services."
