When I read that the liner I was going to cruise the Med in was an "'It' girl who favoured leopard print and hopes to meet John Legend", I have to say I feared the worst.
The website proclaims: "She's hot, she's hip, she's the ultimate trip". It goes on to announce that this Libran queen of the seas is single and enjoys bar hopping and bowling.
Not your average cruise liner then.
Norwegian Gem is the newest ship in NCL's "jewel" class and she represents the Miamibased company's desire to revamp the cruising market.
