FRANCIS AND WILCOX (1994) reported on the association between frequency of church attendance, frequency of personal prayer, and the three dimensions (neuroticism, extraversion, and psychoticism) of Eysenck's model of personality (Eysenck & Eysenck, 1985) among an English sample of 16- to 18-year-old girls. No significant correlation was found between either the measures of frequency of church attendance or frequency of personal prayer and either extraversion or neuroticism. However, there was a significant negative association between psychoticism and the frequency of both church attendance and personal prayer.
